Boxed letters can make a brief label look structured and compact. Compare outlined and filled squares with a short word to decide which treatment is clear enough for your destination.

How It Works

Choose your style
Compare Outlined Squares and Filled Squares. Latin letters use uppercase shapes in both, while digits remain ordinary. The size slider changes this preview only; it does not set the size of pasted text.
Copy and paste
Select Copy beside the result you want. Paste with Ctrl+V, Cmd+V or your phone’s Paste action, then check the result in the destination. If Copy is unavailable, select the complete result and copy manually.

Styles & character coverage
Enclosed square capitals
Square text uses outlined or filled enclosed Latin capitals. The square is part of each special character, so it travels with the letter when copied. Copying transfers the substituted symbols and leaves unsupported characters in their original form.
- Outlined Squares
- Each supported Latin letter becomes an uppercase character inside an outlined square. There is no lowercase counterpart in this preset.
- Filled Squares
- The filled set also uses uppercase shapes. Some characters can be rendered as colored emoji-style symbols by the destination's font system.
Use a short word and compare both backgrounds in your target app. Digits and punctuation remain plain, so a mixed label may not form an even row of boxes.

Frequently asked questions
Why are all square letters capitalized?
These enclosed square alphabets provide uppercase Latin forms. Lowercase input maps to the matching capital rather than to an invented lowercase square.
Why are some filled squares colored?
Certain Unicode symbols have emoji-style presentations on some platforms. This tool does not add hidden variation selectors to force a different appearance.
Can I copy square numbers?
These two presets do not include a matching set of square digits. Numbers stay unchanged; the Bubble category offers circled digits in its outlined preset.
Why do some square characters become colored symbols?
Some squared characters have emoji-like presentations in particular fonts and apps. The copied value is still the selected Unicode character, but this tool cannot force the destination to use a monochrome shape. Try Outlined Squares if the filled result is unsuitable.
Is this free, and is my text uploaded?
Generating and copying text is free, with no sign-up. Input is limited to 500 characters and converted in your browser. When storage is available, this tab keeps a draft of your text and preview size; neither is sent to a server. Clear removes the draft text. The separate font-creation tools follow their own plans and workflow.
How can I create a font from my own lettering?
If you want original boxed letter shapes, start with a clear image of your drawn letters. Use the homepage workflow to review the glyphs; changing this preview does not define a custom font. Choose Create your font to open the homepage upload area. It accepts a PNG, JPG or WebP image; review the letters in the main font-creation workflow.
