A font tool should show you the letters
MakeFont exists to turn supported handwriting and letter images into a persistent, editable font profile. Assistance can accelerate recognition and coverage work, but it should not hide an uncertain mapping or replace the choices that define a typeface.
Editable by default
Every account-owned profile includes glyph editing and TTF export. A free profile is not a crippled teaser.
Conservative promises
MakeFont rejects unsupported scripts and does not promise commercial rights, originality, exclusivity, copyright, or trademark eligibility.
What V1 is built to do
V1 focuses on finite, one-to-one character sets that can be recognized, reviewed, vectorized, edited, compiled, and validated. The first production quality gates cover selected Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic languages. Large character inventories and complex shaping systems stay closed until the product can represent and test them correctly.
What comes after proof
Broader language coverage, richer spacing tools, layout features, teams, APIs, and professional production workflows belong after the core pipeline has repeatable evidence. MakeFont publishes examples only after their artifacts pass the same build and validation path used for customer profiles.
