A font tool should show you the letters
MakeFont starts with your font description, an optional handwriting or lettering reference, or both. AI services generate character sheets after submission; the browser keeps the original image and attempts to build a TTF preview from traced outlines. Inspect the result and repair any failed glyphs.
Editable by default
Every account-owned profile includes glyph editing and TTF export. A free profile is not a crippled teaser.

MakeFont rejects unsupported scripts and does not promise commercial rights, originality, exclusivity, copyright, or trademark eligibility.
What V1 is built to do
V1 focuses on defined Latin-character sets that can be generated, reviewed, vectorized, edited, compiled, and validated. New projects currently support English, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese. Other languages, large character inventories, and complex shaping systems stay closed until the product can represent and test them correctly.
What comes after proof
Broader language coverage, richer spacing tools, layout features, teams, APIs, and professional production workflows belong after the core pipeline has repeatable evidence. MakeFont publishes examples only after their artifacts pass the same build and validation path used for customer profiles.
